Bohlin is also a man of boats. In 1994, an eighteen months long project, including the build of a traditional, Swedish boat for four rowers, made Bohlin´s long-time dream came true - a three months rowing session from Stockholm to Paris. This project was called LIV, the Swedish word for life also Latin for 54 — the total number of friends who rowed the boat together with him in shifts. The experience served as the catalyst for his collection LIV, inspired by navigating in open sea and channels, under bridges through locks, sleeping beneath the vast open sky during several months.
